Child-like joy

Give Me some vouchers valued at 10bucks a piece at the Beer Festival and watch me grinning like a Chesire cat and you could see me almost in a dizzy state. Not like i really love beer, but whoo boy, this IS a beer fest and you've to check out the array of those beverages!
I was like a child given a generous Christmas packet and told to buy my own gift in a huge mall!
So the first October weekend was spent trying durian and passionfruit (of the Archipelago brand) apple, cocoa and a Mexican beer (Sol).
The bottles and cans that made it to my kitchen table; French, Swiss, Australian (low carbohydrate, anyone?), Chilean, locally brewed European beer, Barons and of course, our FAMED local brew- Tiger! A coupla champagnes- French (why, of course) and German thrown in too.
Gotta have a year end party to finish that alcohol buffet! Notwithstanding those that are already sitting in the refrigerator- Kahlua, Baileys, Sheridan's, Sangria & whatever wine that dad or i would occasionally buy!

Can't cop 'em!

Happy pictures deceive.

Last Friday at XHPS...
this girl held onto my hand and walk alongside me, and another kid (or was it the same?) gave me a case of pencil leads.
I remarked, "i get a Children's Day gift too?", she uttered something and walked away. Funny. These children sure know how to charm me, they are sweeter than any man or girlfriend could be...okay, they're on par. But it's this innocence, they just feel like hugging me (or my legs) , holding my hand and sitting on my lap and they do it, i know it's because they like me enough to, which makes it all very sweet.
It's this innocent love developed over a very short time that's just moving.

Remember the time when a few of the boys at AIPS one by one came up to hug my legs and said "goodbye mamacat" (we were rehearsing the play, Copycats), my heart just warmed up.
Even in the mischief-making monkeyland of a boys' school, SAJS, i've hand fans.
Oh the darlings!
